As we enter August 2010, we as individuals and collectively as a nation face a great many challenges that will transpire as we move through
the final month of summer 2010. The first of August, a twelfth house Moon in Aries ushers in a rush of emotions as the tenor for the month.
Trusting your inner divine guidance and first impressions are usually the correct ones. With a Sun in Leo, Creativity and receiving praise for
your hard work is well deserved. If you aren’t receiving any, maybe those around you should take a second look at all the wonderful things
you do to make their lives easier. Keep yourself open emotionally for challenges and opportunities that will emerge as we leave Leo and
enter Virgo. Remember with Virgo, when we are in service to others and not just for our own selfish needs is when we really shine. Do for
others when it makes you feel good to do so. When it is out of obligation, praise and appreciation should be the end result.
Near the end of this month there is a Mars Venus Conjunction in Libra. If you feel out of balance or think you are wearing both pairs of pants
in your relationships it’s because you probably are. Ask for assistance in a charming but diplomatic way for through Venus which is exalted
in Libra, your charm is at its peak. If you aren’t feeling validated or appreciated, a gentle hand and conversation will be more effective than a
venomous full out attack. In this conjunction, Venus dominates a weakened Mars until it reaches the sign of Scorpio next month and returns
to its Terminator potency. Being opposite the Ascendant of this month’s chart, it’s a good idea to take a second look at any observations
coming from love (others) about things we need to change in our mannerisms or demeanor. If you are Mars dominant, the spoken word
works better than an all out war campaign or laying siege to your enemies. Your insights are accurate so trust them.
By the end of August if you are feeling scattered and stretched a little thin, focus on what is truly important. A bucket list is important for
anyone who is born this month and makes it a point to see through what really needs to be done. The outer planets (Pluto, Neptune Uranus)
are all in retrograde this month. If you feel like you are taking three steps back to make two steps forward, that is a good example of this

Jupiter and Uranus are in opposition to Saturn this month. This energy forces us to react to challenges life is placing in our way. Following
Saturn the conservative isn’t always the best course of action. Jupiter and Uranus want us to make a calculated risk whether that’s starting a
new business or investing time and energy into a new project. Sometimes everything is right about taking a risk and putting our faith not only
in ourselves but energetically into things in which we passionately believe in. Remember Microsoft was founded on $1500 00 dollars. What
kind of a payoff was it to those who risked and reaped the rewards? I’m not recommending to anyone to risk what they don’t have. Let your
intuition guide and lead you where your path is to follow. How many of us could afford that risk and let it pass us by? We all have lessons to

In closing, I have been saying all year long that we need to stop looking towards big government and corporations to bail us out of the mess
we find ourselves in. Capricorn is the CEO of the Zodiac and it is far better to be one’s own boss than to be at the mercy of someone who is
doing what is best for them. Struggle is a part of life and building one’s own empire where they can make the decisions that effect them. This
seems to be the trend of this time. This is how this country was founded and some rugged individualism is in dire need. We are at a
crossroads where self sufficiency and a healthy sense of community need to return from our detached ego-driven mass consciousness.
